Getting the Burps Out

how to get  a colic baby to sleep...

3 things you can do to get a colicky baby to stay asleep!

excessive gas and wind in the digestive tract causes bloating, indigestion, reflux, cramps and pain. this does not stop when the baby goes to asleep and usually causes then to keep waking up.

1. get the deep burps out

there are lots of medical 'remedies' that claim to help but nothing works quite so well as getting the deep burps out.  how do we do this?

the answer is what we call 'active burping techniques'.

2. un-trap gas pockets in the intestines

again, lots of colic 'remedies' claim to help but nothing works quite so well as rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands on!  how do we do this?

the answer is what we call 'colic release techniques'.

3.  ease their tension and relax the muscles

cramping and straining for hours and hours results in a tense little body. there are lots of massage techniques and styles and we've put together a nice collection on our learning center.

even better, learn our routine where we teach a few of the basics stretches that quickly ease spinal and hip/ pelvic muscles

By doing these activities regularly for a few days, the deeper burps will start to escape better and better, the trapped intestinal gas pockets will start to move through and the tension in their little bodies will lessen with the stretches.

they will then sleep better and better!
