when does colic go away?

colic usually peaks at around 8-12 weeks and goes away by itself as the baby gets bigger - around 4-6 months. this happens irrespective of what medication is used. treating symptoms with remedies does not usually speed up the process. at best, it simply helps with the discomfort.

on the other hand, treating the cause - getting better at burping or working on gas pockets to escape, works very fast. usually within a few days.

now this may seem like common sense, yet many parents persist for weeks or months with colic remedies, probiotics, anti-reflux medicines, etc.,  perhaps this is just a part of modern societies 'quick-fix' mentality.

to help colic go away quickly, simply get better at what you are instinctively doing eg the bicycle or massaging their tummy or trying different burping techniques. we can teach you how to master these skills!

no matter what remedies or medicines you are using, changing of formula's, exclusion diets, etc, the simplest thing is to simply do natural techniques that speed the process along. it is cheaper, non-invasive and much more effective. why suffer for months when you may resolve the problem in just a few days?
